Hawa Mahal beautiful palace in Jaipur
Hawa Mahal is a beautiful palace in Jaipur and is one of the famous tourist spots among visitors. It was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. This building is made up of red and pink sandstone. It has structure of a honeycomb with 953 small windows called Jharokhas. In 2006, this monument required renovation and it took almost Rs. 4.568 million to repair it. It is famous for the stone-carved screens, small casements, and arched roofs. The windows allow cool air to pass and for tourists it is quite an experience of pleasant weather.

Architecture:
This palace is in shape of pyramid and has five storeys. It gives a look of honeycomb and has porthole and each porthole has miniature windows, carved sandstone grills, finials and domes. The entry to the Hawa Mahal from the city palace side is through an imperial door. It opens into a large courtyard, which has double-storeyed buildings on three sides.
