Naukuchiatal lake of nine corner in nainital
Naukuchiatal is known as "lake of nine corners", which is a small hill station in Nainital. It is the deepest lake in Nainital. This lake is situated at 1,220 metres (4,000 ft.) above sea level and is 175 feet deep. This valley offers activities like fishing, rowing, paddling, parasailing, paragliding, or yachting. There is one festival called escape festival which happens every year. It is a three day music and art festival.

Apart from the beauty of this place, it is also popular among travellers because it offers adventurous activities. The best time to visit this place is from March to June and September to December. During this time the weather remains pleasant and apt for sightseeing.

How to reach:
There are number of buses available to reach there.Nainital is the nearest bus stand and from there one can take cab or taxi.
Kathgodam railway station is the nearest railway station to reach to this place. It is 40kms away from the location. From there one is suggested to take taxi or cab.
Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport to this location and it takes almost 5 and ½ hrs. from there to reach the location.

Jungliagaon – This place is 8kms from Naukuchiatal and it is a perfect spot for angling, bird watching and wildlife photography. For nature lovers this is a beautiful sight and it is an ideal spot for photographers to shoot.
Mukteshwar –This place is named after the 350-year-old Shiva Temple house Mukteshwar Dham. It is a small hill town located around 50 km from Nainital and it is known for adventure sports like trekking, rock climbing and rappeling.
Hanuman Temple –
Timings: 5:00AM-11:00PM
This temple is build up for Lord Hanuman devotees. At the entrance, the tourists can see the 52 ft. high statue of the God. The scenic view of the mountains adds an amazing experience into the visitor’s trip. Surrounded by the temple, there is a shrine of Vaishno Devi. There is a meditation room, three temples in main complex, Shani Temple, Ram Darbar Temle. For the pilgrims there is resting area too.

For shopaholics there are few art emporiums or local markets to shop around. The famous ones are Kashmir Art Emporium and Kashmir Hastkala Art Emporium. One can buyitems like statue, carpets and Garhwal paintings from here. Handicrafts can also be bought from this place.
