This market is in Connaught Place, New Delhi. It is open on every day except Sundays. One needs quite good bargaining skills to deal with the shopkeepers there. From this market, shopaholics can buy Handicrafts, hippy clothing, shoes, paintings, brassware, leather work, fragrances, and jewellery at cheap price.

 

Lajpat Nagar:

Located in South Delhi, Near Defence Colony, this market offers glimpse of Indian culture. It is one of the oldest markets which is open every day except on Mondays. One with bargaining quality can get items on really good prices. Indian Kurti, tops and salwaar kameez suits are popular items of this market. Sarojini Nagar Market:

This market is located in South Delhi, near Safdarjung Airport and it opens on every day except Mondays. This place is especially famous among college girls and women because of its cheap designer & branded clothes. It is best to go on Tuesdays as the new stock arrives on the same day. This market offers shoes, clothes, bags, cosmetic products etc. at very low cost.

 

Chandni Chowk:

This is one of the oldest market and it is there for hundreds of years. It is located in Old Delhi and opens every day except Sundays. There are narrow lanes and for particular things there are areas divided. Like if one wants to shop for silvery jewellery, then Dariba Kalan is the market, which is quite ancient. For wedding related materials like Sarees & Lehangas, KInari Bazaar is the right place. Asia’s largest spice market Khari Baoli is also there. This market can not disappoint foodies, as it serves mouth-watering street food like Kachodi, Jalebi etc.

 

Khan Market:

It is a U-shaped market established in 1951. One can’t bargain at this place. It is near India Gate and opens every day except Sundays. It is known for its interesting book shops. One can find branded and tailored clothes here. Apart from these things, Ayurvedic food and cosmetics, and home furnishings are also available at the market.

 

Sundar Nagar Market:

This market is not far from Connaught place and opens every day except Sundays. It is famous for its art and antique shops. Apart from that there are wonderful tea shops. One, who is looking forart, textiles, carpets,Tea, silver jewellery and antiques must visit this market.

 

 

Chor Bazaar:

This market is behind the Red Fort and opens only on Sundays from 6:00am to 6:00pm. In this market most of the items are damaged, second-hand, stolen or surplus. This place is always crowded and there is always a possibility of getting pick pocketed. One can shop for electronic goods, watches, gym equipment, Shoes, clothes, sporting goods and tools here.

 

Meena Bazaar:

One of the oldest markets in the city, this market is inside Red Fort’s Lahore Gate entrance, Old Delhi. It is open every day but not on Mondays. Shopaholics can find Jewellery and handicrafts from across India in this market.

 

Paharganj:

This market is opposite the New Delhi Railway Station and opens daily until 9:00pm. One can find books, music, textiles, handicrafts, hookah pipes, clothes, bags, shoes, jewellery and incense here.
