To reach this place, Kolka railway station is the nearest railhead connecting Shimla to neighbouring cities. It is situated at a distance of around 96km from Delhi. There are several number of trains available from the capital of India.

The Ridge, located on Mall road is a point where travelers come and make themselves at peace by looking around the views of surrounding area. For beautiful and flattering landscape views one can also visit Kufri, which is only 13km away from main town.

Himachal state museum is on the Mall road and has collection of ancient coins, paintings and other craft items. The library with more than 10,000 books and magazines is the main point of attraction in this museum.

 

Jakhu Temple is at the Shivalik hill ranges on Jakhoo Hill which is the highest point in Shimla. It is known because it has the world's largest Hanuman statue which is visible from almost every part of Shimla.

 

For foodies there are cafes which can't be ignored while talking about specialities of Shimla. Mall road buzzed with restaurants, cafes and shops is a hault to calm your hunger.
